Where to find your inspiration: You might have a glass paper weight that was your fathers’ and is dear to your heart. Perhaps there is a photo in a magazine that speaks to you most. Maybe you have always loved yellow but never had the courage to incorporate it into your home. These little nuggets of insight are what our designers love most because we can base the style and feel of the room off the inspiration that you bring us!
Articulating your personal style preferences can be difficult. Where do you begin? What terms do you use? Don’t worry about words like “traditional,” or “art deco.” Stick with descriptors. Circle at least seven words that describe the space you would want to live in. Then put lines through words that do not describe that space:
